Curriculum

Attached below is an annual overview of the topics and curriculum that we shall cover over the next academic year. This is broken down into more detail in our termly curriculum newsletter, which is available from the school office or can be viewed on the curriculum newsletter page on this site.

Homework

Homework is always given on a Friday in the children's homework folders. Please make sure it is handed in by the following Thursday so that it can be marked before Friday.

Spellings

Childrens spelling tests take place every Friday.  Spellings are uploaded onto  SpellingFrame where children can practise at home. 

In addition to weekly tests there is a list of Year 5/6 words which children work on throughout upper KS2. These are always available to practise on Spelling Frame and can be downloaded here.

Dance Mat Typing- a website children can use to improve their typing skills.

BBC Bitesize Science- a website children use to find out about our Science topics in year Five.
